I have been a lot of places since i blogged last. I have been to Colorado, New Orleans, Washington D.C., and Calgary, Canada, kinda.
Colorado was awesome as always. me and wes and prolific did three shows with C Rayz Walls and all of them were a lot of fun. we partied pretty hard in breckenridge and a little bit in Denver and Fort Collins. Me and Wes got in the studio a little bit with my homey with KNOW COAST RECORDINGS ( www.knowcoast.com ) and made a couple cool beats. It looks like Cypher Linguistics’ new album is going to be distributed through KnowCoast in affiliation with Dropbombz.
New Orleans was a lot of fun. i feel like one night there was the right amount of time and Ludachrist was the perfect entertainment. i even got to get on the mic and hype it up a bit while they were rocking. it was a lot of fun. the place was packed out and everyone was dancing. thanks to Katie, Mz Meadows, Jamie and everyone else who partied that night. that shit was crazy. i def have to get back to new orleans again soon, but probably only for a night. haha. cant do that for too many days in a row.
Washington D.C. was mind blowing. I got there barely too late to catch the actual inauguration but i felt the presence of what was going down for the entire week I was there. when i landed everyone was VERY friendly. as i was asking for directions to the “metro” (marta, subway train). then i get on the metro train and it is absolutely packed and everyone had smiles from ear to ear. when i say it was packed, i was stuffed in there tight enough to have to lean on 2 people. it was PACKED. and no one seemed to mind. I have to say that i am impressed that America elected ANY president who is not just a rich white guy. however, i am still very concerned with what obama is doing and is going to do but that is a whole different story.
last, canada, Oh CANADA….. they said i was not allowed in their country. i have a pretty long “arrest record” even though about 80% of the shit was dropped and dead docketed. anyways, i didnt know anyone’s real name or address who i was staying with so o guess i seemed pretty sketchy with the customs agent and with the immigration agent. anyways, they said they could hold me in a jail cell til i could get a flight out or i could leave my passport, sign a bunch of shit and be back by 1130am the next day and go into calgary. so i went in. it was about 1am so i just went and chilled with this hip hop dude i met on a forum and we just blazed and chatted about hip hop for a couple hours. i really want to get back to canada asap EY!!!

oh yea, also, I have been making a lot of beats lately and I have recorded a lot of them with wes too so i should have a new cd and/or mixtape before too long. for now ust keep your eyes open for CYPHER LINGUISTICS “SURROUNDED BY GREATNESS”
